    1918-1972
       Hijo del anterior, al que no consiguio sobrevivir, es un personaje mucho menos destacado, en todos los aspectos. Dirige unas cuantas peliculas para la empresa familiar en los anos 40, cinco en total, de escasa entidad. El primero de sus tres westerns no alcanza, en rigor, la duracion exigida para ser un largometraje, pero se incluye excepcionalmente aqui por coherencia con los otros dos que lo siguieron, y que constituyen lo que el propio Roach llamaba “Streamliners”, peliculas de tres cuartos de hora de duracion, aproximadamente, de las que se rodaron tres westerns dirigidos por Hal Roach, Jr.

    1913-1987
       Nacido en Nueva York, guionista y director, Russell Rouse empezo en Paramount. Aunque no es ningun personaje especialmente destacado en el universo de la creacion cinematografica, sus guiones y tambien sus peliculas son, en muchos casos, algo mas que correctos. Baste con recordar, en el primero de los dos apartados, Con las horas contadas (D.O.A., 1949), el estupendo filme de Rudolph Mate. Dirigio solo una decena de peliculas, siete entre 1951 y 1959, de las que tambien fue guionista, y otras tres entre 1964 y 1967. Lo mejor que hizo fue, sin duda, este par de interesantes westerns, en los que asoman algunos de los temas mas queridos del genero.
